Peter Quillin ($5,100) vs. Michael Zerafa ($4,500)

Peter Quillan vs Michael Zerafa

For Quillin to win he must assume the role of aggressor, cut off Zerafa’s escape routes and assert his superior pedigree as well as his vastly better shot-for-shot power. For Zerafa to win he must exploit Quillin’s recent tendency to produce low output by cranking up the volume himself like he did against Luke Sharp and taking advantage of “Kid Chocolate’s” sub-par defense without exposing himself too heavily to Quilin’s firepower. Constant angles and action will be his friend and if he puts it all together the judges’ scorecards might be his friend as well.

Our suggestion: Quillin’s team has accepted Zerafa for a reason; he can be out-boxed (as Arif Magomedov proved) and he possesses much heavier hands. After all, those hands have produced 13 knockdowns in his last five fights and he should score some more against Zerafa (which means some bonus points). If Quillin’s skills haven’t eroded — a question given his performance against Andy Lee — he should still have enough in his bag to get past the upstart Aussie.

Cornelius Bundrage ($4,600) vs. Jermall Charlo ($5,300)

Cornelius vs Jermall Charlo

For Bundrage to win he must slow the pace to a level more to his liking, neutralize Charlo’s busy jab and club him with counter rights and body punches. Creating doubt will be a cornerstone for “K-9’s” success, for Charlo will come into this fight a big favorite and anything that can be done to change that narrative can only help his cause. For Charlo to win he needs to be himself: Fight at long range behind his prolific jab and work up-and-down combinations off it. He also must be patient; Bundrage is wily, knows how to survive and won’t go away easily. If the knockout doesn’t come, Charlo should be content with the points win.

Our suggestion: This Charlo is regarded as more aggressive and a bigger puncher than his younger (by one minute) brother and he has the tools to dominate the 41-year-old Bundrage, the oldest man ever to hold a 154-pound title. Look for Charlo to make Bundrage feel every day of his age.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will put his unblemished 48-0 record on the line against Andre Berto on Sept. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. More details about the fight card were confirmed over the past several days.

Mayweather vs Berto Tickets Now on Sale

The tickets for the upcoming showdown are now available with retail prices set at $1,500, $1,000, $750, $500, $300 and $150 each, BoxingScene reported.

One household can only purchase four $150-priced tickets, while the other tickets will be limited to eight per household. These tickets are now available on Ticketmaster and MGM Grand website.

Meanwhile, fight promoters confirmed that Jhonny Gonzalez will be featured in one of the undercard bouts on Sept. 12. The Mexican knockout artist, who holds a 58-9 record with 49 victories via stoppage, will go up against Jonathan Oquendo in a 10-round junior lightweight bout.

Mayweather Promotions CEO believes Gonzalez and Oquendo will give fight fans a treat next month, especially those who are familiar with the boxing rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico.

"Boxing fans are in for a great night of action from start to finish with the addition of the Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Jonathan Oquendo matchup," Ellerbe said in a statement. "This will be another chapter in the Mexico vs. Puerto Rico boxing rivalry. I have no doubt that both men will leave it all in the ring on September 12."

Aside from the Gonzalez-Oquendo matchup, two more bouts were confirmed, which will also feature Puerto Rican and Mexican boxers.

World Boxing Organization junior welterweight champion Rocky Martinez will defend his title for the first time against Orlando Salido, who is a former world champion.
